So we are working on the whole rolling over thing STILL....I don't know if he's gonna go for it anytime soon, but people keep telling me that one day he'll just DO IT! So here goes, he's getting SOOO close. He can hold himself up with his arms, but dosen't have the umph to get himself over on his back. He also loves to lay on his back and try to roll over the other way, so stay posted, it will be soon. Henry is getting the second of his top two teeth which brings his total to 5 already. He has his moments of disomfort but nothing a little tylenyol can't cure. He also has stopped taking naps in his swing and we don't need to use his "donut" while he sleeps in his crib. These are all advancements I'm sure people that we frequently spend the evening with will be happy to hear about. We come with everything including the kitchen sink!

The boys

I know that I post many of my pictures of Matt and Henry, but they are the two loves of my life and are so darn cute together, I just can't resist. He is very much his father's son both in his facial features and his temperment. He even has a girlfriend at daycare. They lay on the floor together and Henry will try to hold her hand and giggle. Oh boy, mom is in for a long ride if it's already starting this early! I sent Matt a text today while he was working in Iowa. Just a little thank you for making my life incredibly wonderful for me and our son. I have these moments of pure bliss when I think of how difficult it was to go back to work when Henry was just 2 months old to now getting to spend incredible wonderful moments with him in the middle of the day! Don't get me wrong, for those of you that know Matt and I, we certainly are not a fairy tale couple, but I couldn't ask for a better provider than him.

Henry is also sitting up on his own!!! He can't be left for too long as he tends to roll to one side and then over on his back, but he's doing great! He's also getting three new teeth. The two front ones on the top and one next to them. He hasn't been fussy, and is FINALLY over being sick!!!!!

He's all growin' up!

OK one last post, then I'll stop, promise...ok..maybe promise with my fingers crossed behind my back...hehehehe...Henry gets better everyday sitting up by himself. Here's some pretty cute shots of him doing just that. I like the tummy pudge. It reminds me of my own "baby" tummy!

Henry's Baptism

Henry was baptized this Sunday January 4, 2009. He was such an amazing little boy! We are so blessed to have found such an amazing church, and are looking forward to joining and raising Henry in the church. Henry's sponsors are Lindsey, Katelyn, Brian, and Nick. Here are a few of the highlights of the day! It was also my grandpa's birthday. He turned 70!!! It was hard to hold back the tears as I watched the water getting poured over Henry's head. It is such an enormous responsibility to raise a little one, and to know that I have the support of the church and Henry's sponsors makes carrying the burden of child raising a little easier.

Pastor Brook make a thought provoking statement when in his sermon stated this: What if each one of you had to take Henry home and be responsible for him. What kind of world would you want to make for Henry to live in? What changes would you make in your own life to create a better life for him? My little space in my pew became very still as we all pondered the enormity of that statement. I challenge each one of you to answer the question for themselves in their own lives.
