All tuckered out....

Oh Henry, as he grows and develops, I can really see his personality coming out. He has added a little big of sass to his daily routine to spice life up a little. He also has this new annoying habit of randoming crying/whining for no apparent reason except to have mom come running to see what is wrong. I think he's on to me:)! Another really comical thing he does is to lay his head down while he's on his tummy. He's not horribly interested crawling, but absolutely loves to lay his head down after pushing his legs and arms around in wild patterns for a few moments. It's like he's taking a little break from the action.

My little nudest...

So this might be totally inappropriate on the blog, but I couldn't resist. Henry is just in love with 1)being naked and 2)rolling all over the place when I try to change his diaper. Here is he after waking up in the morning rolling over with no diaper on thinking he is pretty hot stuff. Of course in the process of taking this photo he decided to leave a little present on grandma's bed before she arrived later that evening. He's so thoughtful!

Rock AND Roll

So after much internal debate between me myself and I as to why Henry wasn't rolling over or crawling yet, the little bugger surprised me with both. Well, sort of both. Henry did manage to roll over last night front to back for the first time. It was total random. He was laying on his stomach, and just like that he rolled over. I don't think he was too impressed with his as he bonked his head a little and gave me this look like really, that was what all the fuss was about? Then this morning, as I was desperately trying to 'help' him crawl, he actually stayed in the all fours position I had put him in and began to rock back and forth SUCCESS at last, At least to me, I am so relieved!!!!

9 month check up

No pictures with this one, but I am blogging to give everyone a Henry update. Henry had his 9 month check up on Friday 3-20-09. He is 30.5 inches long and weights 23lb 9oz. He is off the charts on his height and at the 90th perecentile for his weight. He is a very healthy boy and growing as he should. He is doing everything he should be except some of the gross motor skills they would be expecting of someone his age, so unfortunately, Henry has to have some physical therapy:( Mom is very sad and feeling like a very bad mommy for this, but Dr. Olsen reassured us that for someone his length sometimes it's just hard to coordinate everything and sometimes with content babies they just don't have the desire to get out and explore. We also discovered he has a double ear infection and has been a very sick little boy all weekend. It is so hard to see him sick and not his usual content happy self, so it's been a long weekend for mommy and dada. I will keep you updated on all of his new discovers and hopefully new movements in the coming weeks!

All in the family

Henry with his Aunt Stacy. She was telling him a pretty funny joke!
Auntie Katelyn came to visit the family, and Henry could not wait to show her how big he is!

Henry and great-granny Schulte and her 87th birthday party! Happy St. Patty's Day...

Grandpa Ken showing Henry the ropes around cards!

Just a few of Granny Schulte's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Last weekend, Henry visited his Great-Granny Eva in Emery for her 87th birthday party. He was such a good boy and had quit the time being loved on by all the Schulte's. Everyone commented on how good and content he was but also how big he's gotten. Last week, Henry also go to see more family when auntie Katelyn was home visiting. Also aunt Stacy got to love on Henry as well. Henry is very blessed that he has so much family around to grow up with and be loved by. He cannot wait to see more family in the coming weeks!

Henry's play date

Here is Henry with his girlfriends!!!! He LOVED THE WATER!!!

Vroom...vroom....

Finally, a picture of Henry and me!

Cousin Gage has a dirt bike which is soo darn cute! Sunday before Pam, Stacy, and Lindsey left, we hung out outside because it was beautiful and watched Gage vroom down the road with daddy. Gage is going to be such an amazing big brother. He was so good with Henry helping get him toys and always wanted to hold him. Henry thought Gage was the cats meow and when he showed up to hang out at the pool in the hotel Henry was SOO excited and played for about an hour just watching Gage swim and screeching at him.

Matt went snowmobiling while we were out there and I was in charge of Henry for the weekend. Wouldn't it be nice, ladies, if we were just able to give up our responsibilites and just go. I wonder if I will ever been in that place again. I can remember just leaving at the drop of a hat to go sledding or for a bike ride on a warm summers evening. I feel guilty now for thinking that way because I have such an amazing boy who is growing and changing everyday and counts on me to be the mom at all times. It sure is an enormous responsibility, but one that trumps all else in my life.

Baby shower for Aunt Steph

Henry and auntie Lindsey. She has a way with Henry, and he loves her soo much!
Can we say hambone? What is up with the super cheesy smile?

Henry and his buddy Derek who is 3 weeks younger than Henry, but they are both in 12 month clothes. At least Henry isn't alone!

My aunt Steph is expecting her second child, and Matt, Henry, and I ventured out west to see her. Henry was amazing on the trip sleeping for a couple of hours then playing and eating and of course pooping his pants. He had so much fun at the shower playing with another boy, Derek, who is his age. Steph has such wonderful friends who got her some amazing heart felt gifts. It was so nice to share in the experience with her. Here are some moments from the shower.

Splish splash...

This one is my favorite. He was just having sooo much fun!

Does life get much better than this?

Apparantly, Matt and I have a fish on our hands! Henry absolutely LOVES swimming. He also loves the ladies. I have some video of him splashing in the pool with Matt surrounded by girls. It looks like he's trying to talk to them and splash and coo. Hilarous! Henry had so many wonderful sensory experiences this weekend on our trip to visit Aunt Steph, Uncle Artie, and cousin Gage for the baby shower as Aunt Steph is expecting #2!!!!! Henry was amazing...More pictures and text to follow....

Muscial Sensation

Henry is absolutely in love with his new musical toy. I think he gets that from my side of the family as my aunts have been known to belt out a song or two when a microphone presents itself to them. He also LOVES to look at himself in the mirror, but then again, if I was that cute, I probably would too. Thanks Kathy and Jesse for the recommendation. This toy makes laundry and supper possible for my hubby and I. However, he seems to want to pull the toy on top of himself at times...What's up with that?

Twins

Yes, I understand that I tend to post most of my pictures of Matt and Henry, but they are way cuter than I am at the moment. Trying to get the baby weight off has left me not feeling to photogenic, but I have to say this post is hilarous. Matt came upstairs after getting dressed with Henry in tow. He had dressed himself IDENTICAL to the little guy. Mind you, without me having to say anything. I know this is forshadowing what is to come between my two boys. Many an afternoon spend by myself while my boys are out with the dogs.
