You should never...

Nummers!!!
"whazzup ladies" Yes, I know, what's up with the pac...it calms the whining when it gets intense, no it won't be forever, and yes I understand that at some point he needs to move on...

....go to the grocery store when you are hungry! You come back with cupcakes and frosting...opps:)! So far I have downed about 4 of them since Monday...awesome...ok so maybe 5 or 6...hehehehe....

Matt's been gone so much this week and it's all Henry can do not to go crazy. He is madly in love with Matt's Miller High Life hat. I don't know about this kid. He likes to "pretend" to drink beer, he stows away in gg's booze cupboard, and of all Matt's hat's, he likes the beer one...humm...The teen years could be tough on us with this one!

Matt Schulte Photography

Henry helpin' mom do what she does best, clean!

Um...prolly the cutest photo ever...LOVE LOVE the tongue! Completely out of focus but who cares!

Matt decided to pick up the ol' Nikon and give photography a shot. He got some great Henry smiles, but the lens I had on my camera wasn't really the snapshot taking kind, but good try honey Henry had a blast chasing you around. Some of these pics where pre-haircut, and I guess I see what everyone was talking about. Henry did kind of look goofy. But he's my goof, and as a mom, you never see your kid for anything less than perfect, right...hahahahaha...
We have a busy week ahead, Matt is gone through Tuesday. Henry and I have story time and flu shots this week. Grandma Kim is coming to visit in Friday. Next weekend, Henry and dada's have the whole weekend together because Ma is goin' shoppin':)!!!!! I love my Henry time but I do also love some me time...and Henry LOVES time with dada's....

Rite of passage...

It's more wispy now...
He looks so big and grown up in the chair...

Can you believe the long locks are gone?????

Yes, I understand that in the scheme of life getting ones hair cut is not a major deal. BUT when it's your first baby, your baby boy, your baby boy with the more gorgeous curls....It's hard, alright, so people you can now get off my back. Henry got his hair cut, and guess what, he's still got curls!!!!

He did AMAZING! Sat on my lap the whole time eating fruit snacks and flirting with the ladies in the salon. Those of you that know him will know he was in heaven surrounded by all those ladies and hardly knew someone was cutting his hair. My little bubba is without a doubt is a toddler. Bye bye baby bubba!

Pics to come....

The big day is tomorrow...and I can't believe it's actually here....it's been a long time coming, and I've been putting it off! My baby gets his HAIR CUT!!!!!! Those perfectly delicious curls that melt my heart even during the more fierce temper tantrum are going to be gone. My baby is taking another official step into toddlerhood. I will be sure to post pics of the before and after along with my tearful goodbye to those beloved locks...I will be saving every last curl, so if anyone is interested in Henry hair, I should have some extra:)!

Henry wants to say he misses his dada's. His dada's has been on the road and is going to be on the road all week....from the moment we walk through the door he's all I hear about. From knockin' on dada's door to peeking around the corner to see if he magically appears, my baby bubba is missin' him some dada's.

To Henry's GG (great-grandma) we wish you a speedy recovery. To Henry's other GG (great grandpa) he says he misses you and your long talks about life. He hopes to chat again soon..and possible sneak into a certain specail cupboard at your house. You know the one I'm talking about!

Until we met again tomorrow...buh bye!

A day in the life of a toddler

"Mom, we need to have a serious conversation about this picture taking thing."
This walkin' thing is a blast:)!!!!! Look at his handsome new shoes...

This is the new way Henry eats shirt off and mess galore...
The day in the life of a toddler:
Wake up, drink some mil milks, destroy the house, nap, get up, eat some lunch shirt off mess all around, run around outside with the dogs and the Lightening McQueen race car, wait for dada's to get home, play, eat, destory said house again, bath bath, fruit snacks and mil milks, finally peace and quiet Henry goes night night:)!!!!!

Favorite.video.ever.

Uncle Jason thought Henry's walking was just a fluke. Not gonna lie, I thought the same thing for a while. But Henry, never ceasing to amazing me, is now walking EVERYWHERE. He is into EVERYTHING. And frankly driving his mother CRAZY! I am so relieved he's finally where he should be developmentally. I looked at his tonight in the backseat of the jeep and he looked like such a little man...a little mini Matt if you will. My Henry is officially a toddler...I can't deny it anymore.

Henry also starts storytime at the library tomorrow. It's a half hour of reading and singing. I can't wait to see him sitting in a little group will all of the other little kids. I am so curious to see how he does with other kids and sharing. But I must sign off for now. I have one tired bubba that needs a bath bath and a night night.

Henry is WALKING!!!!!!!!

Henry surprised me today when he decided to take off WALKING....he was really into holding my hand and walking around the house today. Then all of a sudden he got really excited and giggly and started walking by himself. And it wasn't just once and it wasn't just for me. He did it for Matt when he got home too. My boy is walking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am one proud mama.

A tribute to the past and present...

Henry and great-grandpa George chatting away...
Henry reading great-grandma a book upside down....

A boy and his dad....life is sweet!

Oh my boys! Sometimes I don't have words for how much I love you both. Sometimes I wonder why I was blessed with the two of you. Sometimes I want to get away from you two...hahaha...Mostly I just love to watch your relationship bloom. There is not greater love than a father for his son. It is so evident with Matt and Henry. He always waits for his dada's to come home at night, for that big shiny truck to pull into the driveway. Matt doesn't always see it, but I watch Henry watching Matt, seeing how he watches his dada and trying to be tough like him, it absolutely melts my heart.

I remember my early years with my grandpa George. He was my father figure for the first years of my life. I always remember being at his house and how cool I felt. Going golfing with both my grandparents, and how special I felt to have both of them all to myself. Not matter what was going on in my life, they were ALWAYS there for me. It is amazing to see them with my son. I am so thankful that they get to share in his life. How rare is it that a great-grandparent can get down on the floor and play with a great-grandchild.

Cousin's Cousin's Cousin's

All the cousins: Gage, Carson, Nick, Gavin, and Henry...not sure what he's doing....
Henry picking apples at Auntie Lindsey's farm...

Grandpa Jeff and Henry on the farm...

Henry "sharing" with Gavin...awwww...

Henry loooves being around large groups of people especially family. He rarely gets jealous or in need of mom's undivided attention. So it was perfect when aunt Steph brought cousin's Gage and Gavin and aunt Pam brought cousin Carson for a big family get together over the long weekend. Grandma and Grandpa Schwartz and Uncle Nick came up from Iowa so the family was complete. It was perfect! Henry got some wonderful time with great-grandma and grandpa George, aunt Stacy and auntie Lindsey while mama visited her friend Amber in Watertown.
Henry's birth has definitely helped me see the importance of family and being with family. There is such a sense of calmness when you are surrounded by the ones that know you best. They are also the ones that are there for you no matter how bad you mess up or how often. Also, I understand how important it is for Henry to be with those who love him most and can teach him about growing up with values and morals.

Call me...8675309

"Hello, hello, is anybody there?"
"Hummm...now how exactly do I dial again? Maybe if I stick my tongue out, it will come to me!"

"Who me?????" "No, I didn't do anything wrong...."

Henry is OBSESSED with cell phones. If he is fortunate enough to find one laying around, he holds on for dear life and prayers that he gets a hold of someone who will talk to him. If only could get the phone number of that cute girl at the daycare, one problem, she doesn't talk yet:-) Well, I decided that Henry, of course, needed a cell phone like his friends, so I dug out one of my old ones. Henry thought this was just amazing and held onto it turned it around and thoroughly inspected it for quit some time. Then he would hand it to me and "ask" me to call someone. So we tired grampa's and dada's and uncle Nick. We left messages but no one called us back...hummm???
