Henry finally eating something. RICE! You can see where his IV is all taped up and stinted so he won't bend his arm. Try explaining that to a 20 month old!
You can see the pack and play behind Henry. They ran out of cribs. Need less to say him and mama slept in bed together. It was interesting!
Daddy, Henry, and his balloons from the Krogman's. Thanks guys! They made his day...
Henry FINALLY taking a nap on daddy. He was such an exhausted little bubba!Never did I think Matt and I would be celebrating our 7th Valentine's Day together quit like we did this year. My sweetest little bubba, Henry, was admitted Saturday with dyhdration, vomitting, and diahrea. He had to spend the night at the hospital hooked up to IV fluids. It was quit the experience as the anthestisialogist (not sure on the spelling) couldn't find a vein and had to dig around in my poor little guys arm for quit some time. There were 3 other toddlers admitted from Friday night to Saturday when we got there and during that time three babies were born. It was quit the weekend in Vermillion.
Henry is recovering well at home for now. His CO2 count was still low, but Dr Krell, Henry's pediatrican, said we could go home and try to get the levels back up ourselves. We are headed back to see him tomorrow morning to run some more labs.
I do have to say, after this whole ordeal, I look at my baby a little differently. I hold him just a little closer and hug his just a little harder. He was my brave soldier and did so well despite the circumstances. I also look at my husband a little differently too. Despite arguments we may have over life, finances, and the assorted purchases, we really came together for our son and did everything we had to in order to make him comfortable and get his healthy. Happy Valentine's to the most amazing father any boy could have:)! I love you...
