If you ask Henry...

what the wheels on the bus do, he'll say, "go round and round". If you ask Henry what the mama's on the bus say, he'll answer, "shhh...shhh". If you ask Henry what the babys on the bus say, he'll say, "waa..waa". If you ask Henry to count to 10, he'll exclaim, "1, 2, free, 4, 5, 6, 789, 10" If you ask Henry was he sings at school, he'll answer, "a, b, c, d!" And to think, all of this from a kid who didn't walk until last September. So to quote Talladega Nights and Ricky Bobby, "who's retarded now???"

Henry has been growing both in the literal sense and the learning sense by leaps and bounds the last 2 or 3 months. Even visually, he looks more like a little boy than a baby anymore. I have to say, I attribute this to his new preschool, and of course his wonderful friends and family that have encouraged all of his new motor skills to bloom.

I was reading in my Parenting magazine this week that children who attend daycare are more adaptable to their environment, have better social skills, and are just as close to their parents as kids who stay at home. This certainly makes me feel better about going back to work. Henry is thriving in his new environment, and I couldn't be more proud and thankful that we made the leap to the new school. Just like Henry, my Irisis are blooming and looking amazing!

Oh Henry, always daddy's little helper boy. So proud to be doing what daddy does!
