Birthday extravaganza

So Henry and mama had quit the weekend! My birthday was on Saturday. Side note: once you have kids, your birthday becomes sort of inconsequential. This year especially as it signifies the last year that I am in my 20's. MY 20's for god sake. EVERYTHING happened in my 20's. Getting married, graduating with my Masters Degree, getting a real job, buying a home, having a child, and now having another child. My 20's were about me for the most part and now as I look towards 30, I understand that my life is about my children nurturing them, teaching them, watching them make mistakes then being there to help them understand what they did wrong. I think my 30's will also be about finding out who I am. I know that sounds clique, but honestly in your 20's you don't have a clue about life, I hope in my 30's I find out the answer to that mystery!

So anywho, my wonderfully, ambitious mother decided that we should make Henry's 3rd birthday cake. I wanted a dirt race track, she settled for an actual race track, and we ended up with this???????????????????? It's supposed to be a race track in the shape of a 3....maybe....
We also celebrated Henry's 3rd birthday this weekend with the Madison gang and my parents. It was awesome having everyone down to my house, and Henry was so ecstatic see them! Henry is actually turning 3 next week. NEXT WEEK I WILL HAVE A 3 YEAR
OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We also played in the pool at the Holiday Inn in town. Henry is a huge fan of the water not like last year were he thought monsters where going to come up from the depths and eat his little baby toes. He wiggled with delight as his family chased him around and threw water cannon balls with him. Daddy had a little fun too!
Grandma got in on the action. Again, she is quit the ambitious one. Ol' preggers sat on the sidelines and I didn't think anyone wanted to see me in a bathing suit!
So here is to you 29 years of age. I wouldn't repeat my 20's for reasons that shall not be spoken aloud, but I look forward to the years ahead with my two babies, stubborn husband, and amazing extended family!
